This is something I touched on in a blog the other day. It is part of the real New Politics and the core dogma of Neuvo Labour. Our Party must be seen to reflect these times of constant change. Flexideology, or PPPP (Progressive Pragmatic Populus Principles), is the belief that you should always be able to change your beliefs. These beliefs should always be progressive, they should be flexible and pragmatic and, of course, popular – there’s no point changing your views to go against the prevailing wind of public opinion. You know, unless you’re really left wing.
PPPP is about drawing, debating, delivering and actioning our dreams into policy, not fallacy; into what’s next for Labour, not what’s last for Labour, or even after that. These dreams must constantly change, they cannot be recurring dreams.
We must fight for our dreams. But not like John McDonnell in his basement, tirelessly trying to build a time machine, as fighting tirelessly would mean not sleeping, and that would mean not dreaming.
By supporting me you would be welcoming in the dawn of Progressive Dreaming.
